【Abstract】 Mefenacet is a low-toxic and high efficiency herbicide for killing barnyard grass. The application area is more than 1. 1 million hectares in Japan and in recent years many domestic research institutes and pesticide producers have been developing the product. This article describes the properties, application and synthesis methods of mefenacet at home and abroad, especially the new process and its characteristics developed by Huaiyin Electrochemical Plant.
