南黄海表层沉积物碳酸盐及Ca、Sr、Ba分布特征
DISTRIBUTION CHARACTERISTICS OF CARBONATE AS WELL AS Ca,Sr AND Ba IN THE SURFACE SEDIMENTS IN THE SOUTH YELLOW SEA
【摘要】 依据表层沉积物碳酸盐及元素 Ca、Sr、Ba特征 ,探讨了南黄海表层沉积物的来源及其动力成因。现代黄河物质及老黄河三角洲物质以高钙、高碳酸盐和高 Ca/ Sr比值为特征 ;海区东北部物质以低钙、低碳酸盐、低 Ca/ Sr与 Sr/ Ba比值为特征 ,长江物质以碳酸盐及 Ca O含量、Ca/ Sr与 Sr/ Ba比值中等为特征。表层沉积物碳酸盐、Ca O含量及 Ca/ Sr、Sr/ Ba比值的分布对不同特征沉积物的搬运和沉积具有很好的指示意义 ,南黄海北部 Sr/ Ba低值带沿NE- SW向延伸大体反映了黄海暖流的入侵路线。
【Abstract】 Carbonate and elements(Ca,Sr and Ba)are analyzed for studying sources and sedimentary dynamic origins of the surface sediments in the South Yellow Sea.The modern Yellow River materials and old Yellow River delta materials are characterized by high contents of carbonate and Ca and high Ca/Sr ratios.The former were mainly deposited on the submarine platform near Chengshantou and partly diffusing to the south or southeast with the alongshore current,and the latter are in correspondence with the underwater delta deposits of the old Yellow River. Materials in the east of the sea area are characteristic of low Ca,low carbonate and low Ca/Sr and Sr/Ba ratios,but there is no evidence to show whether they came from the Korean Peninsula or the East China Sea or they are related to reworking and resuspension of the submarine sediments due to the Yellow Sea Warm Current.With the westward movement of the Yellow Sea Warm Current,the materials in the east of the sea area diffuse to the west and mix with the modern Yellow River materials to different extents.The NE SW extension of the low Sr/Ba ratio zone in the north of the South Yellow Sea has largely indicated the intrusion route of the Warm Current. The Yangtze River materials have moderate carbonate and CaO contents and also moderate Ca/Sr and Sr/Ba ratios,and the sediments are mainly limited in the northeast of the river mouth. Sediments in the west of the Cheju Island are high in CaO,carbonate and Ca/Sr ratio,and Sr/Ba ratio is extremely high.The sediments show a strong biological action and may be influenced by the Cheju proximal deposits.
