聚丙烯酸/聚氧化乙烯高分子复合溶液的结构与粘度
STRUCTURE AND VISCOSITY OF THE POLY(ACRYLIC ACID)/ POLY(ETHYLENE OXIDE)COMPLEX SOLUTION
【摘要】 通过溶液折光指数和粘度测定 ,研究了聚丙烯酸 (PAA)与聚氧化乙烯 (PEO)高分子链间在复合溶液中的相互作用和 PAA/ PEO高分子氢键复合溶液的结构与粘度 ,研究了复合溶液粘度随溶液 p H值的变化规律及不同浓度时剪切速率对复合溶液粘度和复合增粘效果的影响。结果表明 :PAA/ PEO复合溶液结构不同于PAA和 PEO两组分聚合物溶液结构 ,PAA与 PEO高分子链间的氢键相互作用形成构象更为伸展、流体力学体积更大的 PAA/ PEO氢键复合物 ,导致溶液粘度升高 ,复合增粘效果极为显著。通过高分子间分子复合可在较低分子量和较低聚合物浓度下获得较高粘度的聚合物溶液 ,是制备聚合物增稠剂的有效途径。
【Abstract】 The structure and viscosity of the intermacromolecular complex solution formed through hydrogen bonding complexation of poly(acrylic acid)(PAA)with poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)were studied by means of viscometry and refraction index measurement.The factors affecting the solution viscosity and the viscosity enhancement of the PAA/PEO complex solution were also investigated.The results showed that the interaction between PAA and PEO led to formation of the PAA/PEO complex with more expanding conformation and larger hydrodynamic volume,ressulting in an enhancement in solution viscosity.Intermacromolecular complexation of macromolecules with complementary structure is a novel and effective approach for preparing polymer solution with higher viscosity at lower molecular weight and lower polymer concentration.
