【Abstract】 The status of technical progress of shell and tube exchanger was introduced from several respects such as strengthening the pipe,using baffle plate and support plate,and improving the technology of inserter in pipe. It was thought that increasing the heat transfer coefficient,reducing the pressure drop of fluids, and extending the heat transfer area,etc, were the developing direction of the technology of shell and tube exchanger.
