半导体激光器波长转换中的噪声抑制
Noise suppression in wavelength conversion using semiconductor laser
【摘要】 利用可调谐外腔半导体激光器进行了波长转换实验。静态转换后的波长可以在 6 0nm范围内连续调谐 ,并实现了 155Mb/s和 6 2 2Mb/s速率信号的动态波长转换。对激光器型波长转换器的噪声传输特性进行了研究 ,分析表明 ,由于输入和输出存在阈值特性 ,因此可以有效地抑制输入信号“1”上的噪声。波长转换对噪声性能的改善和输入光的功率和噪声带宽有关
【Abstract】 The experiment of wavelength conversion using tunable external\|cavity semiconductor laser is performed. The static wavelength conversion is achieved in the tunable wavelength range of the external\|cavity laser. The dynamic wavelength conversions of 155 Mb/s and 622Mb/s NRZ signals are realized respectively. The noise transfer characteristics are studied for laser wavelength converter. The converter has a threshold property in its in\|out relation, which can suppress the “1” noise in the input signal. The improvement of the converted signal has a relationship with the input signal power and ASE bandwidth.
