【Abstract】 After analyzing the Chinese borrowings in English from synchronic and diachronic angles, the authors point out that the method of transliteration possesses the inherent law of its own. Therefore, the authors argue for the limitations and standards of transliteration and maintain that transliteration should embody the nationalism of the source language and conform to the expressive and cognitive laws of the target language.更多还原
