【Abstract】 A general formula that includes the calculation of the profile of hob tooth and relief grinding wheel is devised by applying the principle of spacial meshing. A useful expert system for the design and manufacture of gear cutting hobbing is developed by making use of the CAD/CAM technique and expert system technique.
