【Abstract】 The essay distinguishes between modernism and postmodernism. It points out that just as postmodernism is to be defined with respect to modernism, so poststructuralism is to be defined against the background of French structuralism. Postmodernism shares some features in common with structuralism,with also differing it in cretain respects. The essay discusses the main theoretical tendencies and innovations of poststructuralism, distinguishing both its affinities and continuities with structuralism as well as its theoretical innovations and differences.更多还原
