偶氮聚合物薄膜中图象存储的光学控制
Optical Control Image Storage with Azo Liquid Crystal Polymer Films
【摘要】 所用样品为偶氮苯聚合物液晶薄膜 ,该样品具有大的光致双折射现象 .利用光控分子取向技术实现图象存储及显示的光学控制 ,实验清楚地表明通过改变照射光的偏振方向或旋转样品可控制输出图象的亮度和取向
【Abstract】 Image storage based on photo_induced alignment in azobenzene liquid_crystalline polymer films is reported. Measurements reveal that the polymer film possesses large photo_induced birefringence. The photo-induced alignment process is used for storing image. It is demonstrated clearly that the stored image can be easily controlled by choosing the appropriate polarization of the irradiating light or by rotating the film.
