【Abstract】 The Asia pacific security strategies of U.S., Japan, Russia and the Asean share the congruent elements, namely, they hope to maintain peace and stability in the Asia Pacific region, advocate the establishment of multilateral regional security regime, hope to develop normal state to state relations with China, but each country’s strategy has its own features. The impacts of their security strategies upon the regional security can be summarized as follows: The U.S. military presence and military alliance are an important factor affecting Asia Pacific security situation during the 21st century. The peace and stability shadowed by the U.S. deterrence will, to a certain degree, define the relations between the U.S., China and Japan. Mutual check of various forces in the Asia Pacific region may lead to a situation of relative balance. Multilateral cooperation will become a major trend of future security cooperation in the Asia pacific region. Peace and stability will be a general trend in the Asia Pacific region. However, possibilities of arms race and foreign military intervention can not be excluded.更多还原
