【Abstract】 Modern physics, which is based on the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics, is a knowledge system with entirely different cognitive channels from those of pre-Qing Taoist thought. But, on the level of world outlook, between these two knowledge systems, astonishing parallels can be found in the following respects: beyond the general knowledge, beyond language, the concept of the genera- tion of matter, the concept of time and space and the ulterior relations between matter.
