【摘要】 70年代地理学开始参加我国城市规划的实践。地理学选择的这一应用方向之所以取得了重要的进展 ,除了特定的历史环境外 ,主要的原因是两门学科既有许多共同的特点 ,又有较强的互补性 ;另一方面 ,由于当前的形体规划对工科院校培养人才的偏好和地理学本身的弱点 ,地理学在城市规划领域的探索也遇到了不少困难。展望 2 1世纪的发展趋势 ,指出 :只要地理学通过城市规划的实践在理论上有新的发展贡献 ,在学科建设和人才培养方面不断地改革创新 ,就一定能克服前进道路上的种种困难 ,开拓更广阔的空间更多还原

【Abstract】 The author reviews the application of geography in urban planning from 1970’s in China. In addition to the special historical circumstances, the most important reason why geography has achieved such great progress in urban planning is that there are much more commonness and complementary in there two fields. Due to the social preconception and inner weakness of geography itself, however, geography has encountered a lot of difficulties in its developing in the field of urban planning. Prospecting the trend in 21st century, the author claims that only if geography makes constant creativity in theory in this subject as well as in professional education, can it overcome all difficulties and bring a broader space in future.更多还原
