【Abstract】 The principle of amphoteric starch using as dry strengthen aid is studied in terms of charge analysis. The influence of dosage on charge of newspaper pulp are researched. The quantity of starch adsorbing on particles is limited.Starch would accumulate in white water system if it were added too much.Amphoteric starch improves the strength of paper evidently, especially in tear index. Wet end chemistry influence strength through its influence on formation, and it affects tear index more greatly than breaking length. Key words:更多还原
