【Abstract】 The 22nd IUGG Congress was hold on July,1999 in Birmingham, the United Kingdom. The up to the minute development of geodesy on this congress is introduced in this paper. This paper is divided into four parts: the up to the minute development about the satellite positioning technique, the up to the minute development of the study on gravity field, the up to the minute development of the study on geodynamics, and the up to the minute development of the theory and method of geodesy.
