【Abstract】 Yangtze River is the economy backbone of China in 21 st century. There possess nice natural condition and economy basis in the Yangtze Valley. To quicken construction of Yangtze economy zone, is not only the impersonal require of three steps strategy of China modernization construction, but also the necessary choice of realizing the together development of East and West and promoting the western development. To realize the unity along the river, it should strengthen lhe cooperation between Chongqing and Shanghai.
