【Abstract】 Jiujiang, the only point of intersection of Beijing-kowloon Railway and Yangtse River, how to grasp the unprecedented historic chance to accelerate township development has been being one of the tropical problems. The paper analyses the historic course and conditions of the urban system form and development in Jiujiang, elaborates its present characteristics, then figures out the conception of "Big Jiujiang Region" development and spacial distribution in new situation.
