【Abstract】 As a pioneer in the school of English poetic imagery, Emily Dickinson shows her genius and wisdom in her works with an unmistakable personal stamp. By citing her fairly typical poem "The Cricket sang", I try to illustrate her original style and astonishing characteristics in the uses of imagery in the language of English poetry, especially the specific images and sound devices in this particular poem, from which we may be aware of her thematic weight about the contiguity and interrelatedness of this world and the next.更多还原
