【Abstract】 Some test results of the rheological properties of Shanghai clay and a preliminary evaluation of the ground settlement of Shanghai city, conducted years ago, are presented. After making a short review of the relevant literatures existed in the date, the test method and some important influencing problems are introduced. A detailed presentation of test results is given. It is discovered that the instantaneous plastic deformation may be much larger than the elastic one and thus cannot be neglected.更多还原
