β-carotine对小鼠正常组织放射/加温损伤的保护作用
The Protective Effect of β-carotine against Radiation and/or Hyperthermia Damage to the Normal Tissue of Mice
【摘要】 目的:正常组织的放射损伤是限制肿瘤获得足量放射治疗的主要原因,进而影响到患者的放射疗效。本研究旨在观察β-carotine 对小鼠正常皮肤,小肠和免疫细胞放射和( 或)加温治疗损伤的保护作用。方法:纯系TAⅡ小鼠分为11 组,β- carotine 每日每只灌服4mg,隔日1 次;X 线直线加速器10Gy 单次照射,43.5 ℃水浴加温45 分钟。分组治疗后分别观察皮肤,肠粘膜反应及T 细胞水平。结果:①β- carotine 对皮肤,肠粘膜和免疫细胞均有不同的放射和(或) 加温损伤的保护作用,而治疗前后均给予β- carotine 组作用显著;②10Gy 照射使CD4/CD8 从对照组的1.50降到0.84 ,放射治疗前后给予β- carotine,使CD4/CD8 回升到1.31 。结论:β-carotine 保护正常组织放射和( 或) 加温操作的作用主要出现在β-carotine 较高的血浆水平。
【Abstract】 The protective effect of β-carotine against radiation and/or hyperthermia damage to skin, intestinal mucosa and immune cells of TAII mice were observed. Inbred TAII mice were divided into 9 groups. β-carotine (4mg) was given orally to the mouse every other day. The single dose of 10Gy radiation, and water bath of 43.5℃heated for 45 minutes(RH group) were given. The reaction of skin, intestinal mucosa and the number of T cell were observed and determined. The results showed that: 1) The protective effect of β-carotine on skin, intestinal mucosa and immune cells against radiation and/or hyperthermia could be seen in various extent, and significant effect was only found in β-RH-βgroup. 2) Prominent protective effect was mainly found in the mice with higher plasma level of β-carotine. 3) The level of CD4/CD8 in the control group decreased from 1.50 to 0.84. In 10Gy radiation group, the ratio of CD4/CD8 increased to 1.31 as the β-carotine was given before and after RH.
