【Abstract】 This paper provides an overview of the research related to the application of Internet technology to tele-manufacturing, and presents a functional architecture for a remote service bureau of rapid prototyping and tooling(RPT), which is built on Dynamic Hyper Text Marking Language(DHTML) and ActiveX Controls as the building platform and WWW Browser as the client interface.
