【Abstract】 The experiments were conducted at Inner Mongolia Grassland Ecosystem Research Station of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The results showed that there were significant effects for grazing intenties to plant composition, life type and population characteristics of range plants. Leymus chinensis and Stipa grandis steppes were converged to Artemisia frigida under sustainable heavy grazing. The aboveground net primary productivity and plant diversity index were maximum under moderate grazing. It means that there is compensation or overcompensation for plant production.\=更多还原
