X波段2 MeV驻波电子直线加速管研制和测试
EXPERIMENT RESEARCH OF X BAND STANDING WAVE ON AXIS ELECTRON LINAC
【摘要】 为发展结构更加紧凑的小型医用电子直线加速器,开展了X波段驻波电子直线加速结构的研究。设计制造了一只工作频率为9316MHz、管长约15cm的2MeV全密封轴耦合驻波电子直线加速管。热测出束实验馈入0.68MW微波功率,负角注入17keV电子束,获得脉冲流强>90mA、俘获效率好于30%、能量达2.4MeV的电子束流。未用任何外聚焦磁场,出口束靶点直径<0.7mm。
【Abstract】 An X band, on axis, standing wave electron accelerating structure operated in the π/2 mode and 9300 MHz, was developed and tested. A prototype 150 mm long structure was machined, brazed and sealed, and the experimental data of the cold tests and beam tests are presented. The phase focusing technique is used. The electron beam focal spot size is less than 0.7 mm without any external magnetic focusing devices and the pulsed beam current is more than 90 mA with 0.68 MW input RF power. An injection voltage of 17 kV is used with a converging injection beam. The capture efficiency is more than 30 % and the energy is higher than 2.4 MeV.
