【Abstract】 This paper focuses on the flexibility of business process. It gives a general definition of flexibility and analyzes the flexibility of business process from the system viewpoint. It provides formalization description and properties of flexibility. Furthermore, the paper offers quantitative concept and evaluation methods of innate flexibility, running flexibility and flexible degree, and so presents a conceptual framework for measuring the flexibility of business process.
