【Abstract】 From March to April 1995, archaeologists excavated two tombs of the Chu State nearJinancheng, the old Chu capital in Jingzhou, Hubei. These survivals from the middle War-ring States period each have a rectangular earthen shaft containing an outer and an innercoffin. Tomb 1 is not big but has a tomb passage. Its funerary objects are made of pottery,bronze, lacquer or bamboo. The pottery vessels are imitations of bronze set rituals, indicat-ing that the tomb owner was a low-ranking nobleman. There are a big variety of woodenobjects and lacquers including food container, weapon, musical instrument, object for funer-ary purpose, etc.. Of them, box for wine ware, eared cup, arrow quiver and painted humanfigurine shed much light on the daily life and craftsmanship of the Chu State in the middlewarring States period.更多还原
