【Abstract】 Metallothionein, purified from the liver of rabbit induced by cadmium, has two isoforms (I & II). Metallothionein-II has been crystallized in the space group P6222 or P6422 using hanging drop vapor diffusion method, with unit cell parameters a=b= 113.4?, c= 219.1?, α=β=90.0°, γ=120.0°. There are 12 molecules per asymmetric unit and a solvent content of 57%. Diffraction intensity data to 2.8? resolution were collected on a Mar Research Image Plate Detector System.
