【Abstract】 Sheath insulation damage is a very common fault type of single phase HV power cable. Accuracy of the existing sheath fault distance measurement methods is subject to test lead and contact resistance influence, and therefore is not satisfactory for practical fault location application. A new distance measurement method of cable sheath fault is introduced in this paper. It measures resistance of cable sheath between terminal and fault point. The proposed method is free from influence of test lead and contact resistance, simple and practically applicable.更多还原
