【Abstract】 With increasingly severe environmental pollution and further depletion of ozone layer,human skin is more frequently exposed to the harmful attack of UV irradiation,chemical substance and pathogenic microorganisms.Incorporation of natural cell protectant,aiming at increasing skin immunity,reducing its abnormal metabolism,peroxidation and photo-aging is becoming a worldwide major trend in skin care porduct development.This paper introduces an innovative pure natural polysaccharide,beta 1316 glucan,by state-of-the-art high-tech bio-technology from Ciba Specialty Chemicals.The outstanding cell immunoactivating property of this new type water soluble beta-glucan can effectively protect skin from photo-aging induced by UV irradiation,thus efficiently activating skin cell activity,repairing damaged skin and enhancing the self immunity of skin.Extensive studies described here have shown these superior property Application in skin care formulations and recommendations are also discussed.更多还原
