【Abstract】 Guangdong Province is located at low latitudes where the mountains are low and far below the snow lines.There were no conditions for the development of paleo-glaciers and no remains of Quaternary glaciation have been discovered in Guangdong. This view point is also strongly supported by the survial plants from Quaternary glacial periods and the fossils of tropical and subtropical biota which also demonstrate the absence of Quaternary glacier in Guangdong. The so called “glacial mortars” are in fact the fluvial pot-holes developed on the river bed rock.更多还原
