【Abstract】 Model 493 diesel engine is a DI high speed truck diesel engine with quadrangle to typecombstion chamber. A pulse turbocharging system is used on this engine in order to upgrate its perfor-mance, improve the application capability and reduce the fuel consumption and exhaust emission. Thecombustion status before and after turbocharged have been measured by a high speed nicro computer datacollecting and processing system, which is developed by the author.
