Many experimental and clinical result suggest that angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors(ACEI)can effectively treat patients with hypertension or/and heart failure.There is evident that early treatment with ACEI(especially enalapril)after AMI can attenuate infarct expansion and favorably influence early left ventricular remodeling.Captopril has effect on increasing insulin sensitivity and reducing insulin resistance.Nowadays there is also a trend toward more treatment with ACEI in such patients.
