【Abstract】 The major factors influencing reactive distillation were introduced and analysed. It is found that the effect of equilibrium chemical reaction on vapor-liquid phase equilibrium is considerably because of the co-existence of chemical reactions and phase equilibrium, and the operation of reactive distillation may become more difficult than that of conventional distillation due to the interaction between chemical reaction and vapor-liquid equilibrium, in additton, different feed locations may also cause different operating states .
