【Abstract】 Having studies 58 trial materials and consulted Thompson’s evaluation system of European hazelnut, the author established preliminarily a system of character description and evaluation of Corylus L. germplasm resources in order to distinguish the species feature in northeastern China. Meanwhile, the standard leaf sampling position, the theoritical sample volumes of numerical value character and classifing standard were determined.
