Web技术对化学软件发展的影响
THE IMPACT OF WEB ON CHEMICAL SOFTWARE
【摘要】 Web技术的出现为化学软件及其他化学信息资源导航系统的建立创造了便利条件,为化学家迅速获取化学信息资源提供了便捷的手段。同时,Web技术在更深层次上进一步促进了化学软件的集成、分子结构可视化技术和化学软件标准的形成,对化学软件的发展产生着深刻的影响。化学软件的集成和化学软件标准的形成已经成为化学软件发展的两个重要趋势。文章从化学软件的集成、分子结构的可视化处理、化学软件标准、标记和描述语言等几个方面讨论了Web技术与化学信息资源相结合形成的特点及其对化学软件发展的影响。同时,讨论了为应用Web技术表达化学信息而形成的网络标准。此外,还对几个重要的化学软件导航系统做了概括性的介绍。
【Abstract】 The Internetbased information tool known as WorldWide Web make it a facility to develop chemical software and chemical resources browsing systems. Furthermore, the Web promotes strongly on the integration of chemical software, visualization of chemical structure and the standardization of methods to express chemical information. The integration and standardization of chemical software have become two important trends in the development of chemical software. With the focus on the integration of chemical software, chemical structure processing, standardization of chemical software as well as markup and descriptive languages, this paper introduces several innovative and useful features developed by using web to express chemical information, and thus greatly influence the development of chemical software. The network standards to express chemical information on the web and some important chemical software browsing systems are also discussed.
