【Abstract】 On the base of the analysis and assess of the current popular image compression techniques: DCT transformation method, fractal transformation mtehod, and wavelet transformation method etc, an entirely new algorithm is created, which is based on number theory as the transformation algorithm——Number Theoretic Transform (NTT). In the paper, NTT and DCT are analyzed and compared to prove that in the process of image comprssion, the compression rate, compression speed and decompression accuracy etc are superior to DCT transformation. In the image compression technique this algorithm is a method worthy of probe and study.更多还原
