【Abstract】 This paper deeply discusses the significant topic in enterprise computing-directory service, along with its international standards LDAP and X.500, and points out the path to implement unified authentication, which is the key technology of enterprise computing.The currently sophisticated directory concept: cross-platform netware directory service and the best directory products are also discussed in this paper.
