【Abstract】 New control strategies and architectures based on fieldbus will revolutionize instrumentation and control sys-tem. This paper will discuss the advantages of fieldbus, de-scribe its benefits and impact on distributed control system (DCS) and predict the next architectural transformation of control system based on the current driving force.
