【Abstract】 This paper describes the recent applied research progress of the heterogeneous photocatalysis on semiconductors. Representative photocatalysts and new photoreactors are introduced. The applications of photocatalysis on environmental protection, medical and health care, preparation of metallic catalysts, rare metal recovery and material synthesis are summarized and assessed.
