【Abstract】 Significant ground pressure usually occurs in the deeproadways due to country rock containing some expandable mineralsand effect of underground water, bringing serious damage to the support in Meishan Iron Mine. Samples are taken from the different sections to study the swelling property and mechanism as well as evolution process and distribution laws for the expandable minerals.
