【Abstract】 The process technology for moderately purified terephthalic acid(MTA) was reviewed. MTA was compared with purified terephthalic acid(PTA) from process technology, product performance and technology economy etc. The combination of MTA polyester and fiber production is advantageous to cost reduction.
