【Abstract】 Selenium is an essential element for fish growth. Selenium compounds can improve hatching rate of fish. Metabolic diseases of fish are related to levels of free radicals. Glutathione peroxidases (GSH-Px), the cores of which are a series of the selenium compounds, are capable of sweeping away the free radicals.
