【Abstract】 SHS (Self - propagating High - temperature Synthesis) is a new technique to synthesize various kinds of materials. SHS welding is a newly applied field of this process. The SHS welding technique can be used to weld materials with similar and dissimilar properties and structure. Based on the virtues of SHS, the SHS welding technique has many characteristics which are diffeirent from those of the conventional welding techniques.
