光纤四波混频的零色散波长涨落效应和相位敏感放大
RANDOMLY VARYING ZERO DISPERSION WAVELENGTH AND PHASE SENSITIVE AMPLIFICATION IN FIBER FOUR WAVE MIXING
【摘要】 本文讨论了光纤四波混频零色散波长的随机涨落,运用随机微分方程(SDE)推导出平均参量增益、相位转换效率及增益带宽的理论表达式理论与实验有很好的一致性进一步分析了这一效应对相位敏感放大器的噪音系数可能产生的限制
【Abstract】 In this paper,the effect of random fluctuation in the zero dispersion wavelength is considered for fiber four wave mixing (FWM) At first,the physical reasons for the fluctuations are analyzed in two cases of short and longth scales The zero dispersion wavelength is modeled as a sume of a constant and a randomly varying part:λ 0(z)=λ 0 con +λ 0(z) ran and the correlation length is defined as L c=∫ ∞ 0R λ(ζ)dζ/R λ(0) Secondly,from the solution of stochastic differetial equation (SDE) theoretical expressions for average parametric gain,phase conjugation conversion efficiency and gainwidth are obtained and found to be in good agreement with experiments At last,possible limitation on the noise figure in phase sensitive amplifiers based on fiber four wave mixing are also discussed It is pointed that an obstacle to use fiber four wave mixing for phase sensitive amplification is likely to be the stochastic λ 0 variation,since it is will increase G max G min away from unity,thereby this allow in noise photons to be added to the signal
