【Abstract】 Yiwu River valley is in the deepest inland of the Eurasia continent. As it is very far from the ocean, natural eavironment is characterized with aridity and few precipitation. Yiwu River is one of the large rivers comparatively in Hami Prefecture and its catchment area is also large above hydrometric station. According to the hydrographic data of twenty-one year and the meteorologic abservations of thirty-nine year, one comprehensive analysis on the annual distributions and yearly variations of rainfall and runoff and the relation between the two facters. Based on the analysis, some conclusions are set forth: (1) there is the regulation of"under- ground reservoir" on the way of flow because of the alimentation and peculiary geologic struc- ture in Yiwu river valley, so the flow is comparativey steady except July and August. (2) Duving July and August, air temperature rises and rainfall increases, so the annual runof of Yi- wu river is related to rainfall. (3) If the accumulated rainfall which takes place during July and August is more than or equals to the mean annual value, the water volume of Yiwu river is plantiful in the same year. (4)According to the analysis, the peak flow of flood which happens once in a thousand year is 400m~3/s and that of flood which happens once in a handred year is 30m~3/s. The analysis of those hydrologic properties above all has great significance to the exploita- tion of water resources and the development of regional economy in Yiwu river valley.更多还原
