高灵敏度温度稳定BiGd:YIG磁光光纤电流传感器性能及其晶体生长研究

【摘要】 法拉第磁光光纤电流传感器因其具有结构简单、安全可靠、高精度和灵敏度等优点而受到国内外的广泛关注。法拉第传感材料的磁光性能对于光纤电流传感器的性能有重要的影响。本文用熔盐法生长了高法拉第旋转角、温度稳定的稀土铁石榴石磁光单晶BiGd:YIG,测试分析了其在近红外波段的磁光性能及其温度特性。其法拉第旋转角θF 为- 534°/cm (λ= 1.31 μm )和- 441°/cm (λ= 1.55 μm ),比纯YIG晶体高出许多;而且其θF 随温度变化较小,在250~400 K范围内,其温度灵敏度S为4.20×10- 4 /K- 1。用此晶体研制成的磁光光纤电流传感器在实验条件下测得的灵敏度为4 /m ,准确度为0.3% 。

【Abstract】 Faraday effect magneto optic optical fiber current sensor offers certain advantages in simple configuration,safety,high accuracy and sensibility,much attention were focused on both domestic and abroad.Magneto optic properties of Faraday sensing element has much affect on the performance of the Optic Fiber Current Sensor.In this work,magnetooptic single crystal garnet BiGd:YIG with high Faraday rotation and low temperature sensibility was growth from high temperature flux.Magneto optic properties in near infrared range were measured.The specific Faraday rotation θ F were -534 °/cm(at λ=1.31 μm) and -441 °/cm(at λ=1.55 μm),much higher than pure YIG’s.Its Faraday rotation has low temperature dependence,the temperature sensibility is 4.20×10 -4 (K -1 ) among 250~400 K.Used this crystal garnet as sensing elements,the magneto optic current sensor had the sensibility of 4 /m and accuracy of ±0.3%.
