【Abstract】 With the combination of chemical looping combustor and solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC), a new kind of combined cycle Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Power Generation System with Chemical Looping Combustor is proposed. By using chemical looping combustor, this new cycle is capable of working at higher temperature and pressure. Fuel and oxidizer of fuel cell can be preheated to SOFC working temperature by chemical looping combustor instead of by fuel cell exhaust gas via a series of high temperature heat exchangers. Thus the exergy losses caused by heat transfer and the problem related with high temperature gas-gas heat exchangers can be avoided. Theoretical analysis shows that this new cycle can attain higher efficiency. Also it is environmental friendly.
