【Abstract】 Starting from the functions and importance of thermal control system of sets in block mode operation, the paper explains the scope and working scheme of the newly created specialized profession of thermal control adjustment of fossil firing power generating sets, and, facing both the principal as well as the main auxiliary machinery, the paper further describes the problems that have to be attended to during adjustment of all the thermal control sub systems and gives an introduction to their commissioning as well as the working scope and steps adjustment required in the course of commissioning a whole generating set.
