【Abstract】 Urban modernization is the basic aspect of urban development, and also is the basic problem of urban study. Taking the overall progress of society and the overall development of mankind as the center, the writer selects eight essential factors and thirty targets of urban modernization. Standard of measurement about our country, types of urban modernization and classified standard of different scale cities are drawn up. Operable, comparable, and simple and direct target system of urban modernization of our country is drawn up.
