Water-wave-induced horizontal noise in Ocean-Bottom Seismometers

【摘要】 <正>Horizontal records of OBS are usually full of noise. However, the sources and characteristics of horizontal noise are not well understood currently, which limits their practical applications. The horizontal noise in shallow water exhibits clear noise peaks around 0.07 Hz. We propose that these noise peaks emerge due to the concentration of wave energy.
