基于特征模分析法抑制高阶模的超表面天线设计

【摘要】 本文提出了一种基于特征模分析法抑制高阶模的非均匀超表面天线。天线包括两层介质和三层金属,上层金属是加载缝隙的非均匀超表面单元,中间接地层刻蚀矩形耦合缝隙,下层是微带馈线结构。采用特征模分析法,逐步改变超表面的结构,抑制高阶模式,优化天线辐射特性。首先在超表面中间的P1单元加载两条沿y方向平行槽、P2单元加载井字型槽、左右两侧P3、P4单元加载x方向平行槽,缩短相应的电流路径,抑制部分高阶模以及电流沿x方向的简并模。之后在P1三分之后的外侧贴片上加载x方向平行槽,进一步抑制其余高阶模,优化天线在高频处的辐射特性。仿真的天线工作频带为5.8-8.7GHz,相对带宽达到40%,增益为5.45-7.18 dBi。

【Abstract】 In this paper, a metasurface antenna using characteristic mode analysis(CMA) method for suppressing higher-order modes(HOMs) is proposed. The antenna consists of two layers of dielectric and three layers of metal. the upper metal layer is metasurface patches loaded with slots, the ground is etched with rectangular coupling slot, and the lower layer is a microstrip feedline. CMA is used to gradually change the structure of the metasurface to suppress HOMs and optimize the antenna radiation characteristics. Firstly,two parallel slots in y-direction, tic-tac-toe slots, parallel slots in x-direction are loaded in P1, P2, P3 and P4units, respectively. After that, the x-direction parallel slots are loaded on the outer patch of P1 to further suppress the rest of the HOMs and optimize the radiation characteristics of the antenna at high frequencies.The simulated antenna operates in the frequency band of 5.8-8.7 GHz with the relative bandwidth of 40% and the realized gain of 5.45-7.18 dBi.
