【Abstract】 Cybersocial behavior(cyber-prosocial behavior and cyber-deviant behavior) under the background of information technology has attracted increasing attention. It is unclear, however, if and how emotion affects cybersocial behavior. Furthermore, previous studies have focused on the influence of trait factors on cybersocial behavior yet overlooked the important role of state fluctuation factors. Moreover, investigating the influence of negative and positive emotional fluctuations on cybersocial behaviors is helpful to extend the study of cybersocial behaviors driven by emotionalism and break the traditional cognitive model of "high quality and good behavior"or "low quality and bad behavior". Drawing upon mood-congruent theory and stressor-emotion model, we theorize that negative and positive emotional fluctuations influence different cybersocial behaviors and examine the impact of social exclusion on cybersocial behaviors and its mechanism——the mediating effect of emotions and the moderating effect of locus of control. Study 1(N=129) and 2(N=258) conducted an experiment and an experience sampling method separately. Results showed that positive emotions positively predicted cyber-prosocial behavior and negative emotions positively predicted cyber-deviant behaviors. Study 3 conducted a moderated mediation model on three-wave longitudinal data obtained from 319 college students. Results showed that:(1) Social exclusion contributed to cyber-prosocial behavior through positive emotion, and similarly contributed to cyber-deviant behavior partially through negative emotion.(2) The mediating effects of positive emotions on social exclusion and cyber-prosocial behavior were negatively moderated by internal control. The indirect effect was weaker for students with high internal control than for those with low internal control. These findings expand the cognitive framework of the driving mechanism of cybersocial behavior, excavate the rich implications of the emotional motivation of cybersocial behavior, and reveal the social spillover effects of emotions in the cyber environment under social exclusion.
